Leadership requires: taking responsibility for the results of the team a focus on enabling the team to deliver value development of the individuals on the team an ego that is satisfied by the value that the team delivers, not that the leader delivers Leadership Pronoun Usage: Success: 3rd Person: Us/We/Our Failure: 1st Person: I/Me/Mine Leadership Prioritization of Needs: Needs of the customer – they’re paying the bills Needs of the business – they’re paying you and your team Needs of the business partners – they’re supporting you/and you them Needs of the leadership structure – they’re providing direction & guidance Needs of the team – they’re supporting you Needs of the individuals on the team – they’re supporting the team NOTE: The needs of the leader are addressed with the leader’s leadership.
